If one observes these tips they can greatly benefit their business which includes, but is not limited to gaining and retaining clients. These topics are helpful and ideal for people who are looking to improve their media effect.

YouTube's Radical Redesign Positions Google To Be Your New TV

Recently the social media website YouTube has redesigned itself in order to make it more user friendly and give it a more mature look. With the partnership of Google, YouTube has organized all of it's videos into channels and all of it's channels into larger categories. This is supposedly more appealing to the viewers because it will be easier for them to use. However, this does allow for more ads so users might be annoyed. Overall I believe that it will be a success because it will be easier for users to find what they like and even share this with their friends on Facebook and Google +.

The Pen Is Mightier Than The Phone: A Case For Writing Things Out

Certain studies have shown that it is more effective to write things down with pen and paper, rather than typing them out on some sort of electronic device. When someone physically writes something down with pen on paper it sticks in their mind better and it is more like the original thought instead of opening up something on ones computer to write it down and getting distracted. The researchers suggest carrying a journal with one at all times so that one can transfer their creative thoughts to paper right away. Another advantage of using pen and paper rather than an electronic device is that one is more likely to do whatever is on the paper, as opposed to it being in a file on a computer that becomes lost. I think that writing things out is better for people, because as a culture we are being to immersed in technology. And after all, technology can fail us, but old fashioned pen and paper has always proven reliable.

The Case For Girls: A Mock Ad Aims To Become A Legitimate Campaign With Global Impact

A digital ad agency names AKQA made a mock campaign of a women's empowerment movement in China. They created the concept, a video, and a website to support this whole idea. What started out as a mock project actually became a worldwide event. On March 8th, 2012, which is International Women's Day, they encourage women in China and everywhere around the world to wear lipstick in support of mistreated women to unite and encourage. This campaign will bring money to supporting the women of today will partner with different businesses to continue to bring funds for future generations. I believe that this is a great idea, especially after viewing the video and learning all of the disheartening statistics about the way women are treated in China. This is an innovation that benefits brands because they will get more content out to their users. The information shows up on the sidebar in real time and then goes into their feed; however, this is different than how it used to be because Facebook compiles all of what the user has not seen on the sidebar and makes it show up again later. According to studies "vision is our most powerful sense" and the Timeline feeds off of that information. It not only makes it easier for brands to use Facebook, it also attracts the users by enlarging the pictures on feeds. Facebook is changing the way that people do business and making it more appealing for brands to bring their business to Facebook.

Facebook Analytics: How Blogs Reacted to Steve Jobs' Passing

When Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011 it created an outburst of reaction in online communities. There are iPhone apps, twitter accounts and blogs with news available everywhere. However, it is sometimes hard to tell between factual events and biased stories. In a way, it is easier to be involved with Journalism today because information moves quicker and there are so many more options to receive news But on the other hand it is also harder because with so much information available one has to decipher between what is true and what is false. Journalists need to be trained in media literacy in order to not get fooled into believing everything they hear and see. It seems best to stick to the traditional methods of news reporting by in-depth investigation in order to not get fooled by the wide-spread lies in this world.

"Through the Eyes of Forrest Gump"

In the video "Through the Eyes of Forrest Gump" viewers explore the making of the movie "Forrest Gump" and what the directors and actors strive to achieve with this film. In such a competitive industry it is hard to be successful so in order to do so they must attract a large audience. The three main things that the directors wanted to do in this movie were to: attract an audience, even if it meant breaking the 'rules of movie making', excel in characterization, and make the movie as real as possible, even if they had to use special effects.

Fall TV Goes Social: 27 New Shows to Watch

This fall there are many new shows for viewers to watch. They also create more competition between networks, because with so many shows there are bound to be some that are similar. In all honesty there isn't much of a difference between the many versions of CSI and other crime based series.

Negative opinions about news organizations at all-time high

This article discusses how the public do not trust the media. People no longer believe what they hear on the news as soon as they hear it. When the public views the media as untrustworthy then the media no longer have as much power over the public as they have had previously.
